Who We Are

The mission of the Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing (OCCH) is "to cause the construction, rehabilitation, and preservation of affordable housing in Ohio." OCCH was created in 1989 by the Ohio Housing Finance Agency. As a now independent and self-supporting 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with its own board of directors, OCCH has become the largest locally controlled syndicator of low-income housing tax credits in the nation.

What We Do

We are a mission-driven nonprofit financial intermediary that provides developers of affordable housing with access to capital markets. Through our Ohio Equity Funds, OCCH raises tax credit equity for investment in affordable housing projects throughout Ohio and parts of Kentucky. OCCH provides hands on technical assistance to both nonprofit and for-profit developers of housing. OCCH performs asset management activities. This includes tenant application reviews, on-site physical inspection, and financial reporting.
