Hal Keller Honored With Business First C-Suite Award

(The C-Suite awards honors C-level executives for leadership, business, and civic contributions they have made to their organizations and to the Central Ohio Community.)

The second annual Business First C-Suite awards dinner and gala took place this September and Hal Keller, OCCH President, received a C-Suite award for Nonprofit/Government Chief Executive Officer, which honors C-level executives for leadership, business, and civic contributions they have made to their organizations and to the Central Ohio Community.

Hal was honored for his many years of exceptional strategic vision, leadership, and relentless commitment to his work in affordable housing. When asked by Business First what the best compliment was that anyone could give Hal, he replied “That I am a mensch.” The Yiddish word means “a person of integrity and honor.” The OCCH Board, staff, and fellow business partners would agree.

Hal has been involved in affordable housing for over 38 years as a consultant to state and local governments, an administrator of state and local housing programs, and as a neighborhood organizer and tenant advocate.  He holds Master of Arts degrees in both Public Administration and Social Work from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Social Science from Case Western Reserve University. Hal serves on the boards of a variety of organizations including the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, YMCA of Central Ohio, Affordable Housing Trust for Columbus and Franklin County, Ohio Housing Council, Habitat for Humanity of Ohio, and the National Association of State and Local Equity Funds.

Congratulations Hal on a much deserved recognition!
