July 24, 2015—Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority and other partners celebrated a ground breaking at the site of Cary Crossing, a new development that will bring 36 new units of affordable housing for individuals and families with disabilities to Mt. Healthy, Ohio. The site is adjacent to a planned community medical facility and will promote job training and employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Cary Crossing will consist of 34 one-bedroom homes and 2 two-bedroom homes located in 9 four-unit buildings.

The $7.8 million development will offer on-site management, clubhouse, picnic area, sports court, computer center, social/supportive services, and community space. Each unit will provide central air-conditioning, kitchen appliances, window treatments, and a washer and dryer. Touchstone Property Services, an affiliate of Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority, will offer a service coordinator to assist residents with programs and activities.

Cary Crossing was developed using a combination of Low Income Housing Tax Credits administered through the Ohio Housing Finance Agency, a construction loan from KeyBank, and Replacement Housing Factor Funds.   Equity investment was provided by Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing.
