Green Hills Apartments Grand Opening


November 6, 2015 — Seventy-six residential units at the Green Hills Retirement Community campus in West Liberty, Ohio recently underwent a $9.5 million renovation. Originally built in two phases in 1975 and 1979, Green Hills Apartments now contains larger floor plans and accessible features for its senior residents. Developed by West Liberty Homes Inc., Episcopal Retirements Homes Affordable Living LLC, and Model Group, Inc. Green Hills Apartments features on-site management, a community room, library, fitness center, game room, community patio, and walking paths. The renovated homes include larger kitchens with new appliances, stackable washers and dryers, updated bathrooms with walk-in showers and roll-under sinks, central air conditioning, carpet, ceiling fans, new windows and lighting, and emergency call systems and larger patios and sidewalks.

Green Hills Apartments was developed using a combination of Low Income Housing Tax Credits and a Housing Development Assistance loan and Housing Development Loan administered through the Ohio Housing Finance Agency, a construction loan through Huntington National Bank, permanent financing through Lancaster Pollard, funding through the USDA Rural Development program and an AHP grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati.  Equity investment was provided by Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing.
