HUD Regulations Ensure Equal Access to Housing Regardless of Sexual Orientation
February 13, 2012 – On January 30, HUD Secretary Donovan announced new regulations to ensure equal access to housing for all Americans regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. The new regulations were published as final in the Federal Register on February 3, 2012, and they will go into effect 30 days after the rule is published. The regulations apply to all of HUD's programs.
