OHFA Releases Draft Version of Appraisal Standards
December 14, 2011 – The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) recently released an update to their appraisal standards and requirements. OHFA uses these appraisals to rely on valuation of the as-is cost of a property that is being considered for funding. Appraisals submitted to OHFA should follow the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and must follow the proper channels of appraising subsidized housing. OHFA will be accepting comments on this draft until January 31, 2012. They ask that comments be submitted to Kat Berry at kberry@ohiohome.org. More information will be posted in February.
