January 26, 2017 - The Ohio Housing Finance Agency and the Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing are proud to be hosting the 2017 Starting at Home Conference, taking place on April 27 and 28, 2017, at the Renaissance Hotel in Columbus, Ohio.

At the inaugural conference held in 2015, OHFA and OCCH brought together nearly 300 practitioners from different sectors to explore linkages between affordable housing finance and development and other public policy fields, including health, education, transportation and economic security.  In 2017, we are looking forward to an engaging event and an even larger turnout of housing and public policy professionals.

The one and a half day convening will feature insightful and engaging discussions with local, regional and national leaders.   Plentiful networking opportunities during the conference will provide participants with opportunities to interact will colleagues and speakers to discuss how policymakers and private industry can work together to  empower low-income families, older adults, chronically homeless, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable populations to achieve a better quality of life.

Sessions will highlight emerging best practices connecting research, practice and philanthropy to build better communities that enable communities and individuals to prosper.  Attendees will choose among keynote lectures and breakout sessions from renowned professionals including:
