Grand Opening Held for Heatly Crossing–Affordable Family Housing in Gallia County, Ohio

September 12, 2014 – The Woda Group, Inc. recently celebrated the reopening of Heatly Crossing with a ribbon cutting ceremony marking the occasion. Heatly Crossing is a $4 million renovation of a 32-unit family development containing 10 one-bedroom units, 20 two-bedroom units, and 2 three-bedroom units spread throughout five single and two-story buildings.

Heatly Crossing features modern and open floor plans, a community area with kitchen, a basketball court, laundry facilities, tot lot, picnic area with tables, computer center, security, extra storage, and common areas and green space.

The rehabilitated units offer universal design features, Energy Star appliances, window treatments, carpeting, dishwasher, garbage disposal, secured entry, ceiling fans, patio storage, and overhead Energy Star lighting. The units are also wired for high-speed internet and cable/satellite access. Service coordination activities will be provided to the residents by Gallia-Meigs Community Action Agency.

Heatly Crossing was developed using a combination of low-income housing tax credits and HOME funds administered through the Ohio Housing Finance Agency, a construction loan from Park National Bank, and funds through the USDA Rural Development. Equity investment was provided by Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing.
