(Ground Breaking Held for New Senior Housing in Highland Heights, Kentucky)
July 11, 2016 —A ground breaking at the construction site of the new Highland Village senior housing development was recently held in Campbell County, Kentucky.
Offering a 104 unit single three-story building and 14 garden style units, Highland Heights will include a community room, health care room, laundry facilities, on-site management, computer center, salon, fitness center, and walking trail. All homes feature energy efficient appliances, washer/dryer hookups, central air conditioning, patios/balconies, ceiling fans, and attached garages on the garden units. The development is located within an existing residential community in the Highland Heights neighborhood.
Financing for Highland Heights was a combination of Low Income Housing Tax Credits and Affordable Housing Trust Funds administered through Kentucky Housing Corporation, CDBG funding, funding from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati AHP grant, permanent and construction loans, and funding through the Ohio Capital Finance Corporation. Equity investment was provided by Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing. The project was developed by Newport Millennium Housing Corporation III and managed by Housing Authority of Newport.
