Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority
Wilbeth-Arlington Homes in Akron, Summit County was awarded $5,100 towards adding a ceiling and outdoor lighting to an outdoor pavilion. The pavilion hosts outdoor tables for picnics, activities and engagements for the residents of Wilbeth-Arlington Homes.

Community Housing Network
East Fifth Avenue Apartments, 88/96 North 22nd Street, St. Clair Apartments and Briggsdale Apartments in Columbus, Franklin County was awarded $22,000 to provide a series of 5-day computer training classes in Word, Excel, Outlook, iWorker Series and Business Writing at CHN’s Employment Center.

Community Housing Resource Partners
Four Seasons at Kent in Kent, Portage County was awarded $20,000 to provide a “Seniors On-Line” program through the provision of a computer lab equipped with three computers, a laser printer, and high speed internet access. A portion of the library will be renovated to provide ergonomic chairs and desks and good lighting.

Community Properties of Ohio
Clubview Apartments in Nashport, Muskingum County was awarded $10,000 for funding to send 22 children, ages 6-12, to summer day camp at the YMCA.

Green Residence Corporation
Retirement Residence of Green in Green, Summit County was awarded $25,000 towards the purchase of a van to provide transportation for their residents to local stores and shopping centers.

Homes and Neighborhood Development (HAND)
Marion Senior Housing in Marion, Marion County was awarded $5,000 to provide a beauty salon within the commercial space in Marion Senior Housing and to replace chairs in the community room.

Ironton Lawrence County CAO
Park Avenue Apartments in Ironton, Lawrence County was awarded $20,000 to purchase pre-paid memberships for all residents who choose to utilize the services of Elite Rehab and Fitness. Elite Rehab and Fitness will be a new commercial tenant located within the Park Avenue Apartments building.

Jennings Center for Older Adults
St. Agnes Terrace Apartments (aka Jennings Senior Housing) in Garfield Heights, Cuyahoga County was awarded $19,500 to provide a state-of-the-art computer lab with four new computers exclusively for use by tenants of St. Agnes Terrace Apartments. The computers will have large monitors, a specialized track ball mouse to accommodate arthritic hands, and high speed internet access. A specialized training series developed for the older adult learner will also be a component of this project.

National Church Residences
Summerwood Commons in Euclid, Cuyahoga County was awarded $29,873 to provide service coordination to Summerwood Commons. Two social workers will work a total of 20 hours per week on site at Summerwood Commons to link residents with outside services.

Over-The-Rhine Community Housing
St. Anthony Village in Cincinnati, Hamilton County was awarded $5,000 to enhance the community room at St. Anthony’s Village by providing a computer with internet access, and new furniture.
