OCCH Welcomes Nancy Tallman—Vice President, Human Resources

Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing is pleased to announce the hiring of Nancy Tallman, Vice President, Human Resources. Nancy joined OCCH in May of 2018 and in her role she will create and lead the human resource strategy including culture and engagement, talent management, organization design, learning and development, and leadership coaching. She will design and enhance programs and solutions to optimize and engage talent resources supporting the growth and organizational needs of OCCH. She will serve as an internal consultant to leaders, counseling on strategic planning, development, performance management, and engagement initiatives. Prior to joining OCCH, Nancy was Sr. Director of Organization Design and Development for Alliance Data. She brings over 20 years of experience in human resource management and organizational development in addition to 10+ years in operations leadership.

Myia Batie Recognized by Affordable Housing Finance as a Young Indudstry Leader

AHF is recognizing OCCH's Myia Batie as a young leader in the affordable housing industry. Myia joined OCCH in April 2016 as Coordinator of Policy and Programs. In this role, she works with OCCH’s philanthropic affiliate, Ohio Capital Impact Corporation with programs designed to promote communities and their residents. Prior to joining OCCH, she worked as the Program and Policy Manager in the Office of Planning, Preservation and Development at the Ohio Housing Finance Agency. In that role, she was responsible for planning and policy development across the multifamily housing development programs including the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program, Housing Development Assistance Programs, Housing Development Loan Program and Multifamily Bond Program. Congratulations Myia for receiving national recognition from Affordable Housing Finance for your hard work, industry expertise, and your commitment to affordable housing!

Nick Balow is Promoted to Development Officer

Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing is pleased to announce the promotion of Nick Balow to Development Officer. Nick joined Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing (OCCH) in 2011 as an intern with the Acquisitions Department and was promoted to Development Analyst in 2013 before this recent promotion. He provides technical consulting for real estate developers using the LIHTC program to produce and preserve affordable housing. In addition, he generates applications for affordable housing funds from a number of state and federal sources, performs spreadsheet modeling and underwriting, and designs proposal packages for various internal committees. Nick also monitors due diligence material for equity closings. He is a Specialist in Housing Credit Management (SHCM), a Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP), and a Housing Development Finance Professional (HDFP). Nick also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Urban Geography from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, as well as a Master's Degree in City and Regional Planning from The Ohio State University.
