Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing Adds Kevin J. Nowak to its Board of Directors

Mr. Nowak brings 18 years of affordable housing experience to OCCH’s Board of Directors

Columbus, Ohio – Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing, an affordable housing tax credit syndicator, announced today that Kevin Nowak has joined its Board of Directors. Mr. Nowak is the President and CEO of CHN Housing Partners, an affordable housing developer, housing services provider and residential lender headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio.

“The addition of Kevin to our Board of Directors will bring a critical point of view to our organization,” said Catherine Cawthon, President and CEO of OCCH. “His expertise and strategic acumen will be a benefit to myself, our board, and our entire organization.”

Mr. Nowak has been with CHN Housing Partners for over 10 years - first as a board member, then as director of strategic initiatives and general counsel, prior to becoming president and CEO. He is responsible for the overall management of CHN, its 35 real estate partnerships, and combined annual operating and capital budget ranging from $55-75 million. Prior to his role at CHN, Mr. Nowak was the National Equity Investment Manager at Key Community Development Corporation.

Mr. Nowak joins 10 other members of OCCH’s Board of Directors, representing decades of affordable housing and finance experience. Mr. Nowak holds a B.A. and J.D. from the University of Michigan.
