Coming out of COVID, aligning job creation and affordable housing is a critical priority for economic prosperity.

Recognizing the need to proactively address this issue, policymakers, and practitioners in housing, economic development, and planning from around Ohio are coming together to sponsor a one-day convening on “Aligning Housing and Economic Development for Ohio’s Growth” to consider how the housing gap is impacting economic growth and consider creative techniques to meet this challenge.

Join policymakers and practitioners in creative dialogue on topics such as the causes of the housing/jobs mismatch, creative financing for housing development and redevelopment, the special challenges of small communities and rural areas, housing strategies, and incentives, reducing the cost of housing construction, how community planning, building codes, zoning and more! In addition, best practices and case studies of effective programs will be highlighted.
