Ohio Capital Finance Corporation (OCFC) is a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that provides flexible financing products for affordable housing and neighborhood development projects which serve to strengthen low-income communities across our region.
Since 2002, OCFC has partnered with investors, lenders, developers, government agencies, and community organizations to raise capital and deploy it to impactful projects in the form of predevelopment financing, acquisition financing, equity bridge/construction loan financing, and permanent financing.
OCFC has served as a trusted lender and community partner for more than 20 years. In that time, we have provided over $900 million in financing for affordable housing and community development projects across six states, supporting the creation or preservation of 32,000 housing units for low- and moderate-income families.
The following reports highlight our work to strengthen low-income communities across our region:
OCFC offers the following products to developers and mission-driven organizations:
OCFC facilitates and manages loan funds that enable the leveraging of public and private resources for increased impact. Funds can be customized based on specific investor goals, targeted to geographic areas or community initiatives, and may support an expanded scope of project types, such as workforce housing and commercial improvements, consistent with OCFC’s mission. If your organization is interested in learning more about our sponsored loan funds, contact Jonathan Welty at jwelty@occh.org.
OCFC provides development services to assist interested parties, applicants, and borrowers to plan and carry out affordable housing or neighborhood development projects. As needed, OCFC offers this through 1:1 assistance before, during, and after the loan application process, and via the Affordable Housing Training Academy.
As a member of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati (FHLBC), OCFC can access the affordable housing and community development programs offered by FHLBC on behalf of project sponsors (non-profit organizations, for-profit entities, government agencies, or other types of organizations), opening up additional opportunities for project financing.
OCFC’s Board of Directors provides leadership, direction, and oversight of the organization. They support OCFC in fulfilling its mission through deep experience and expertise, as well as connection to the communities they represent.
