OCCH is Proud to Recognize the Following New Hires:

Aaron Murphy, Vice President of Community Development Lending

Mr. Murphy joined Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing in 2019 as Vice President of Community Development Lending at Ohio Finance Capital Corporation (OCFC), the lending arm of the Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing. His responsibilities include providing capital towards the development of affordable housing and community revitalization projects in an effort to help strengthen neighborhoods. 

Prior to joining OCCH, Mr. Murphy served for over six years at the Affordable Housing Trust for Columbus and Franklin County (AHT) and the Community Development Collaborative of Greater Columbus (Collaborative). During his tenure, he served as both Loan Manager for AHT and Program Manager for the Collaborative. As Loan Manager, his roles included origination, underwriting, loan servicing and portfolio management. As Program Manager, he administered the capacity building grant program and provided technical assistance to Community Development Corporations. Mr. Murphy received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science (Public Administration) from the Ohio University, served as an AmeriCorps Member, and is a certified Housing Development Finance Professional through the National Development Council.


Aaron Wasserman, Development Analyst

Mr. Wasserman joined Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing (OCCH) as a Development Analyst in September 2019. In this role, he provides technical support and underwriting of affordable housing developments in the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. Prior to joining OCCH, Mr. Wasserman was the Director of Real Estate for The Neighborhood Developers, a community development corporation serving metro Boston. He was responsible for sourcing new affordable housing developments and overseeing their execution, from acquisition and permitting through construction and leasing. He worked on a range of LIHTC and mixed-use developments. Mr. Wasserman holds a master’s degree in urban planning from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a bachelor’s degree from Swarthmore College.


Chadd Weisert, J.D., LLM, Vice President, Fund Accounting

Mr. Weisert joined Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing (OCCH) in May 2019 as Vice President, Fund Accounting. He is responsible for all financial accounting and reporting for the OCCH investment funds. This includes quarterly investor reporting and the annual audit and tax return reviews. Mr. Weisert also provides tax technical assistance to other departments within OCCH. Prior to joining OCCH, Mr. Weisert was a Tax Principal at the Tidwell Group. Prior to the Tidwell Group, he worked at a Big 4 accounting Firm focusing on Real Estate Partnerships as a Tax Senior Manager. Mr. Weisert holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from California State University Fresno, a Juris Doctorate and LLM in Taxation from Golden Gate University School of Law. Mr. Weisert is a licensed Attorney at Law.


Christy Abdella, Project Coordinator

Ms. Abdella joined Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing (OCCH) in May 2019 as a Project Coordinator in Asset Management. Her responsibilities include ensuring compliance of insurance policies associated with OCCH investments, tracking IRS 8823 forms, maintaining utility allowance information across the OCCH footprint, and producing and distributing quarterly and annual investor reports. She also supports the compliance team with review of regulatory agreements and summarization of restrictions imposed by various funding sources. Prior to joining OCCH, Ms. Abdella was a paralegal and title curative specialist with Manley Deas Kochalski. She has a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from Miami University.


Keith Wilbur, Compliance Coordinator

Mr. Wilbur joined Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing (OCCH)in April 2019 as a Compliance Coordinator. In this role he coordinates the OCCH Desk Review process and tracks leasing activity and credit delivery while also monitoring regulatory compliance. Keith holds a degree in Political Science from Ohio University, and has worked in both the private & public sectors. He comes to OCCH from Hocking Athens Perry Community Action, where he worked with youth in the workforce development & employment services areas. Keith is incredibly involved in the community, actively working with organizations like Franklin County CASA, the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio, and Ohio University’s Alumni Association. 


Mike Dant CPA, Asset Manager

Mr. Dant joined Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing in 2019 as an Asset Manager. In this capacity Mr. Dant serves as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of properties, is responsible for reviewing project budgets, assisting with preparation of quarterly financial reports to investors, performing physical property inspections, and reviewing compliance documentation. Prior to joining OCCH Mr. Dant spent 20 years with Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC). While at KHC Mr. Dant spent 10 years developing the company’s asset management function, three plus years in project development/funding, and the balance in other housing related functions. Mr. Dant is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Housing Asset Manager (CHAM), and a Certified Housing Development Finance Professional. Mr. Dant earned the following degrees: Bachelors of Accounting from Indiana Wesleyan University, Bachelors of Geography (minor in City and Regional Planning) from Western Kentucky University, Masters of City and Regional Planning from Western Kentucky University. 


Casey Hinkle, Vice President, Corporate Accounting

Casey Hinkle has been promoted to Vice President, Corporate Accounting. Ms. Hinkle joined Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing (OCCH) in June 2015. Her responsibilities include the preparation of quarterly investor reports and the review of annual audit and tax returns for entities contained in each fund. Prior to joining OCCH, Ms. Hinkle was an audit manager at Clark, Schaefer, Hackett. Ms. Hinkle specialized in RD and LIHTC audits and also reviewed carryover and cost certifications. Ms. Hinkle holds her Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and is a Certified Public Accountant. Jennifer Mullaney, Chief Financial Officer

Jennifer Mullaney has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer for the Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing. Ms. Mullaney joined Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing (OCCH) in December 2006 as Vice President, Finance. She is responsible for all financial accounting and reporting for Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing and affiliates. This includes quarterly investor reporting and the annual audit and tax return reviews. She also oversees the partnership cash reserves, equity payment processing and provides technical tax and accounting assistance to other departments. Prior to joining OCCH, Ms. Mullaney was the Chief Financial Officer at Community Properties of Ohio Management Services (CPO), a wholly owned subsidiary of Ohio Capital Corporation. Prior to CPO, she worked for Larry C. Stemen, CPA and Associates as an Audit Manager specializing in HUD and LIHTC audits and cost certifications. Ms. Mullaney holds her Bachelor’s Degree from Wittenberg University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
